Announcing the release of two new editions of Gem Trek Maps for 1 April, 2024:
Highwood & Cataract Creek Map (4th edition)
Bow Lake & Saskatchewan Crossing Map (6th edition)
Both maps are printed by Burke Group in Edmonton on waterproof and tear-resistant paper.
We spent the summer of 2023 out in the field researching these maps, and then over the winter inputting changes and working with Parks Canada and Alberta Parks to ensure they were as up to date as possible. The challenge with Highwood & Cataract Creek is keeping up with the many unofficial trails that have become popular in the last few years with social media the perfect outlet for showcasing lesser known destinations in this remote region of Kananaskis Country.
