One of the most-loved features of Gem Trek Maps is that the map set features a distinctive colour scheme that makes readability of the topography a breeze. To ensure similarity between maps and between editions a press check is important, so we always spend a day or two at the press as each map goes through rigorous colour-matching by the press operator.
First up on the most recent run was a new edition of the the Columbia Icefield Map.
After colour matching and running the press, the maps are stacked and moved to the folding machine.
This print run also included a new edition of the Banff Mount Assiniboine Map and a reprint of our Kananaskis Lakes Map.
